(PRESS RELEASE) — Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Ronald Weekes, as a result of a vehicular accident which occurred about 4:55 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Vigie Roundabout, Castries.
Ronald Weekes, a 72-year-old resident of Sunny Acres, Castries, was the sole occupant of an SUV, registration number PC 7625.
He was conveyed to the Victoria Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
A post mortem examination is scheduled for a subsequent date.
This was the eighth road fatality for the year 2019.
The Royal St. Lucia Police Force wishes to extend condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
