(St. Lucia News Online) — Saint Lucia has confirmed its third case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The information was conveyed by Chief Medical Officer Sharon Belmar-George at a press briefing on Monday morning.
She explained that the patient is a 43-year-old woman who had traveled to the United States.
Belmar-George said the woman returned to the island with flu-like symptoms.
The patient is being treated in isolation and recovering well, Belmar-George said.
“Our teams are working closely with her possible contacts on the ground presently,” she remarked.
