(PRESS RELEASE VIA SNO) – The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) would like to inform the public that though Beryl has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm, as of 3:00 p.m. July 07, 2018 Saint Lucia is still under a Tropical Storm Watch.

The public should continue to remain vigilant and to obtain official information from the Saint Lucia Met Services.

NEMO reinforces the advice given by the Met Services that the public should continue to closely monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Beryl.

EDITOR’S NOTE: A sentence regarding Junior Carnival was posted in error below this press release earlier on. We would like to make it clear that this message had nothing to do with NEMO. The note about Junior Carnival taking place tomorrow, Sunday, July 8, 2018 – which is actually accurate – was originally sent to the media via email from Events Company of Saint Lucia Inc. We apologise for the mix-up.
