(PRESS RELEASE VIA SNO) – The Castries Lions Club showed their support of community youth by presenting bursaries to three less fortunate students who recently sat the Common Entrance Examination.

According to Bernice Augustin, Services Chairperson, the students are deserving recipients of the bursaries which will go a long way to help in the furtherance of their education.

Helping young people continue their education is one of the challenges our community faces, and it’s a need our club continues to address. We are extraordinarily grateful for the support and contribution we received from members of the community. They continue to help us to make a difference.

In addition to the distribution of bursaries, the club conducts a variety of projects including, feeding the homeless, Environment, Cancer, Diabetes, drug abuse and the blind to name a few.

The Castries Lions Club has 45 members and meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at San Souci, Castries.
