(SNO) – Saint Lucia and other islands in the Lesser Antilles are expected to experience “partly cloudy to cloudy, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms” on Thursday, June 21, 2018, according to the Saint Lucia Met Services.
According to the latest weather report (6 a.m.), this development – cloudiness and moderate to heavy rainfall – is caused by a tropical wave in the vicinity of the Lesser Antilles.
Three other tropical waves are also mentioned in the report.
Two are located over the central and eastern tropical Atlantic and are moving westward near 17 and 23 mph or 28 and 37 km/h, respectively.
A fourth is over the far eastern tropical Atlantic and is also moving westward.
Tropical cyclone formation is not expected over the tropical Atlantic during the next five days.
